Mats Lidström, born in Sweden but living in London, combines performing with teaching and composing. Student of Leonard Rose and Maja Vogl. He has performed as a solist with some of the world’s leading orchestras a.o. the LSO and RPO London, DSO Berlin, Czech Phil., Dallas Symph., PRO Stockholm, working with conductors such as V. Ashkenazy, A. Previn, O. Kamu and L. Segerstam. Chamber music performances a.o. at Wigmore Hall, Queen Elizabeth and Royal Festival Hall London, Théâtre du Châtelet, Musikverein, Aspen and Edinburgh Festivals with a.o. Elizabeth Söderström, Anne Sofie von Otter, Lynn Harrell, Cho-Liang Lin, Nigel Kennedy, Roland Pöntinen, Peter Jablonski. Since 1998 honorary professor at the Royal Academy of Music, London.
